Karachi Institute of Heart Diseases (KIHD) is one of the main tertiary care teaching hospitals of Pakistan. It is located in the center of Karachi and started functioning on June 3, 2005. The institute provides modern treatment, research, prevention and training for medical students and nurses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. KIHD is a 170-bed teaching hospital with Emergency Room, CCU, Medical & Surgical Wards, ICU, Cardiac Catheterization Labs, Operating Theaters, ECHO, ETT, Nuclear Imaging, Rehabilitation Center, Research Department and Laboratory services.
